Health Planning and Statistics Directorate of the Agency comprise of Five different unit, headed by Mr Habila Felix Gambo, and it has the following responsibilities
1.Preparation of annual, medium and long-term plans for the Agency
2. Data Collection, Collation, Analysis, Storage and Dissemination
3. Develop Key Performance Indicators for the State Primary Health Care System
4. Implementation of Health Insurance policies, guidelines and other Financial Risk Protection and Health Care Financing Policies strategies
5. Production, dissemination and Coordination of HMIS data tools in the PHCs
6. Conduct Data Quality Assurance (DQA)
7. Conduct Need assessment of Infrastructure and Equipment and coordinate appropriate interventions
8. Providing and managing SPHCDA website
9. Conduct Baseline, midline and End line Studies and Operational Research
10. Develop and implement HRH capacity building plan
11. Develop and Implement training programmes for health workers
12. Develop and manage data base for PHC system
13. Coordinate PHC related Development Partners activities.
14. Track the Implementation of Strategic and annual operational plans and facilitate periodic review of such plans
15. Ensure effective 2 way referral system by exploiting all available means e.g Emergency Transport Scheme.
16. To ensure provision of PHC laboratory equipment and services in conjunction with the relevant departments.
17. Create and keep record of all relevant PHC related policies and plans in the State
18. Coordinate the function of LGA/Zonal PHC Coordinators in conjunction with other departments
19. Carry out any other function as may be assigned by the Executive Secretary.
