Gombe State Primary Health Care Development Agency

Primary Health system

The State Health Care System is based on the three ties system of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Care. The Gombe State Primary Health Care Development Agency has the responsibility to develop policies strategies, guideline, plans and programmes that provide the overall direction for the Primary Health Care Service Delivery System.

Immunization

Through resource mobilization, collaboration, partnership and development of community-based financing projects and functional health facilities, the GSPHCDA ensures that infants are fully immunized against vaccine Preventable diseases (e.g Polio) before attaining the age of 12 months.

Maternal and child health

The GSPHCDA is committed to the survival of every child and safe delivery of pregnant women in the state. with the assistance of partners from multiple sectors and the involvement of all sectors concern.

Our Mission

To provide quality, effective, comprehensive, affordable and accessible health services for the promotion of the general well being of the people in Gombe State through implementation of appropriate policies and programmes for Primary Health Care Services in partnerships and collaboration with all stakeholders.

Our Vision

To have a Healthcare System that addresses the health needs of Gombe Citizenry in line with Universal Health Coverage and Empowers them to live Healthier and more Hulfilling lives

Our Objective

To fast track the development of Primary Health Care Structure and Services in the State; To ensure equitable distribution of facilities within the state To enable the state facilitate the implementation of the “community Health Insurance” in collaboration with the National Health Insurance Scheme.
