Gombe State Task Force on Immunization and PHC under the chairmanship of His Excellency, The Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Dr. Mannasah Daniel Jatau, where in Nafada and Funakaye LGAs for monitoring/supportive supervision visit for the ongoing integrated measles, yellow fever, meningitis and covid 19 mass vaccination campaign.
The Honourable commissioner for Health, Dr. Habu Dahiru represented the deputy Governor during the visit. The entourage also comprised of Honourable Commissioner for Information, representatives of the commissioner of police, commandant civil defence, road safety, representative of the Emir of Gombe, permanent secretary, Ministry for Local Government, ES GSPHCDA amongst others.
Dr. Dahiru in his remarks before Emirs of Funakaye and Nafada, HRH Alhaji Mu’azu Mohammed Kwairanga and Alhaji Mohammed Dadum Hamza highlighted the objective of the integrated mass vaccination campaign. The Honourable Commissioner also received feedback from both LGA teams as to their coverage of different antigens for the campaign.
In separate responses, the council chairmen of Funakaye and Nafada LGAs, Honourable Ibrahim Adamu Cheldu and Musa Abubakar (Babauro) respectively commended the government of His Excellency, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, The Executive Governor of Gombe State for according health a top priority of his administration.
