And each unit has sub unit under it as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Family Health Sub unit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nutrition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>State Emergency Maternal and Child Health Intervention (SEMCHIC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Family Planning\/ Adolescent Health<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Community Health Sub unit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Environmental Health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School Health Service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NUTRITION UNITS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nutrition unit; &#8211; is a unit responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, supervising, monitoring and evaluation of Nutrition intervention\/programs in the State for improving people\u2019s nutritional status on health and helping society meet its obligation to alleviate hunger and Malnutrition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Responsibilities of the Unit<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nutrition survey across the eleven (11) LGAs of the State<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Secretary(technical) and Member State committee on food and Nutrition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Production of complementary feed, Nutrition Education\/counselling at community base management of acute malnutrition (CMAM)\/ infant and young child feeding (IYCF) sites.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community empowerment\/ training on Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) KHHP, MNDC within the State<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Infant and Young Child Feeding Unit<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Responsibilities of Infant and Young Child Feeding Unit:-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\">\n<li>To promote Exclusive Breast feeding for the first six Month of Life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To Reduce Infant and Young Child Mortality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To promote Infant and Young Child Health.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To Reduce Infant and Young Child Morbidity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To Promote Complementary Feeding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mothers Counselling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To Promote Optimal Nutritional of Adolescents and Women of Reproductive Age.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>State Maternal and Child health Intervention Center (SEMCHIC)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CONCEPT OF NATIONAL\/ STATE\/LGA EMERGENCY MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH INTERVENTION CENTRES (NEMCHIC\/SEMCHIC\/LEMCHIC)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Goal of the Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To reduce preventable maternal and child deaths by 50% by 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Vision of the Project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Nigeria where no woman or child dies from preventable causes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mission of the Project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To promote awareness and ensure effective emergency response to maternal and child mortality that addresses the four delays to care through an integrated approach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Objectives of the Project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To improve awareness and promote community involvement in interventions to reduce maternal and child mortality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To strengthen coordination, leadership and accountability in RMNCAH+N programmes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To increase data visibility, quality and use for action at all levels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To improve detection and responsiveness in the resolution of RMNCAH+N service gaps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Community and family Health is one of the Directorate of Gombe State Primary Health Care Development Agency (GSPHCDA) Headed By&nbsp;Dr [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-11992","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/gsphcda.gm.gov.ng\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/11992","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/gsphcda.gm.gov.ng\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/gsphcda.gm.gov.ng\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/gsphcda.gm.gov.ng\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/gsphcda.gm.gov.ng\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=11992"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/gsphcda.gm.gov.ng\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/11992\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/gsphcda.gm.gov.ng\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=11992"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
