The Executive Secretary GSPHCDA Dr Abdulrahman Shu’aibu received in audience a team from World Bank Human Capital on 18th July, 2022

The World Bank Human Capital team visited Gombe on 18th July, 2022. The team comprised of technical specialist in Governance, Health care financing & Education.

The team which was led by Derby Hanna, paid a courtesy visit to the ES GSPHCDA to assess the implementation status of the NPHCDA gateway of the BHCPF. The team had an interactive session with the ES GSPHCDA, Directors and program officers of the agency.

Highlight of the meeting was a power point presentation by the BHCPF unit. The World Bank team were impressed with the state’s performance with regards to the implementation of the NPHCDA gateway in the State.

The team also visited some PHCs facilities to assess service delivery within Gombe metropolis. The team commended Gombe State Government in it’s effort towards revamping the health system. The World Bank team also visited other line ministries including ministry of Finance, Education among others.

Gombe State Primary Health Care Development Agency in Partnership With Bill And Melinda Gates Foundation Organised A Five-Day Training Workshop On Leadership And Governance For State, LGA Directors And Some Programme Officers

Gombe State Primary Health Care Development Agency through Partnership for Improved PHC Performance (PIPP) with support from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation organised a five-day training workshop on Leadership and Governance for State, LGA Directors and some Programme Officers. The training aimed at improving the capacity of the Management team on leadership and governance to enhance coordination and productivity in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The Executive Secretary in his opening remarks, Dr. Abdulrahman Shu’iabu charged the participants to use the opportunity to build their capacities and improve on their ability to coordinate their respective areas of responsibilities. He further called on the participants to make the best use of the opportunity by ensuring they participate actively in the workshop.

The workshop which took place at Chartwell Hotel and Suites, Bauchi witnessed the presence of all PHC Directors, all the Directors from the SPHCDA, Programme Officers of SERRIC, SEMCHIC, Malaria, M&E and SIO
