ROUNDING UP SESSION OF ITN MASS CAMPAIGN IN GOMBE STATE
Insecticide Treated Net ITNs campaign in Gombe state can say to be a success, as the people from Dukku, Funakaye, Kwami and Nafada LGAs expressed their happiness to the Government for providing the enabling environment through various ways for the smooth implementation of the ITN universal mass campaign across the 11 LGAs of the state ensuring malaria disease in the State is reduced and eventually eliminated.
In recognition of her contribution in the fight against Malaria in Gombe State, the wife of the Gombe State Governor, Haj. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya, who was awarded and decorated as the Net Campaign Ambassador for the State moved from house to ensure the campaign received a desire result, exploring different channels and resources to disseminate messages on the use of the Insecticide Treated Mosquito Nets, to protect families from mosquito bites by sleeping inside their nets every night.
In his effort to ensured Gombe State becomes malaria free, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, on 6th September, 2021 has flagged-off the distribution of Insecticide Treated Nets (ITNs) and Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate the scourge in the state and the nation at large
