The National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP) in collaboration with Gombe State Government through Primary Health Care Development Agency (GSPHCDA) commence transportation of Insecticide Treated Net (ITNs) from LGAs to Distribution Hubs ahead of the upcoming mass distribution exercise in Gombe state, which is scheduled to hold from 3rd to 14 September 2021.
The aim is to transport the ITNs from Local Government Area to ward level across the state for easy door – to- door distributions to the General Public.
In its effort to eliminate malaria, the Gombe state Government through GSPHCDA in collaboration with National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP) with funding support from the Global Fund Malaria project organize a one-day Training for Town Announcers ahead of the upcoming insecticide Treated Net (ITN) mass Campaign across the 11 LGA’s of the State.
The training aimed to educate the Selected Participants on how to sensitized the General Public on the use of insecticide Treated Net (ITN) in their various community before, during and after the mass campaign exercise in the state.
The training is currently ongoing across the 11 LGAs of the state, where a total of 570 town announcers are being oriented.
