The E.S, GSPHCDA Dr. Abdulrahman Shu’iabu has today lead a road show match amidst staff of GSPHCDA, and other community groups. The morning match aimed at sensitising the public about the introduction of the measles vaccine 2 into the routine immunization schedule nationwide.
The Executive Secretary GSPHCDA Dr. Abdulrahman Shu’iabu has today Monday 7th Dec. 2020 officially flagged off the introduction of the second dose of measles vaccine into the routine immunization schedule in Akko LGA in line with the new national guideline.
The event which took place at the palace premises in Pindiga, Akko LGA was attended by HRH, Alhaji Mohammed Seyoji Ahmad, Emir of Pindiga, Directors of SPHCDA, representatives of NPHCDA and representatives of partners, among others.
Gombe State Primary Health Care Development Agency organised a two day training of trainers for the introduction of Measles second Dose (MCV2) into the EPI schedule on the 1st and 2nd of Dec. 2020.
The E.S, GSPHCDA Dr. Abdulrahman Shu’iabu stated that, the objectives of the training is to build the administrative capacity of health care workers and to also provide participants with the requisite knowledge and skills to combat measles and other childhood killer diseases.
